Cherry-Picked is my new (as of August 2025) weekly newsletter that updates every weekend on Sundays. I designed these as a way to reconnect with many different friends near and far, all over the world, and share what I've been up. It also serves as a space to display my photos as a hobbyist film and digital photographer as well as interesting links I've collected while existing on the internet.
I explore various novel layouts, taking inspiration from tiny details in magazines to various different layouts in print and digital, such as textbooks, photobooks, and even furniture catalogues.
One of my favorite article layouts of Cherry-Picked is shown here, coinciding with the first week of school. I took inspiration from planner layouts, specifically the Hobonichi Weeks, which is one of my beloved and most-used planners.
Media Explorations
Something I've been experimenting with recently with is including physical media in my newsletters, for example photos taken with my Fujifilm instant camera.

Cherry-Picked serves as a way for me to connect meaningfully by showcasing my photography and interacting with my friends in a new way that I haven't explored before. Overall, it's been a fun way to destress and reflect on my week at the end of the weekend by designing something for fun and sharing it with others.
